Waynesfield, OH

Community Profile

Located at the intersection of Ohio Routes 67 and 196, Waynesfield is where the quiet confinements of rural living are nurtured for growth.  Waynesfield Industrial Park, .8 miles north of downtown on State Route 196, has planted the seeds for industrial growth. Small businesses in downtown have been able to reap from their investments.

U.S. 33, a 5 minute drive, makes travel to Ft. Wayne, Indiana, or Columbus, Ohio, an easy commute. In fifteen minutes, one can reach Interstate 75 which provides a thoroughfare from the northern tip of Michigan to the southern U.S. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Within a 3-4 hour radius of Waynesfield, these highways provide easy commutes to such places as Parkersburg, West Virginia; Lexington, Kentucky; South Bend, Indiana; or Flint, Michigan.  Dayton International Airport can be reached in less than 1 ¼ hour, while Port Columbus International Airport is attainable in 1 ½ hours.

Municipal utilities including water, wastewater, and electric distribution are of great benefit to the community. Citizens are able to elect their representatives to the governing board or council, and attend their open meetings to voice their concerns. If you have a problem with one of these utilities, we are readily available to assist and remedy the situation.

Waynesfield-Goshen Schools offer a new school building for students of the community, and higher learning is available within a short commute. Ohio State University – Lima and Rhodes State College can be driven in 17 minutes, Ohio Northern University in Ada is a 27 minute commute, and Wright State Lake Campus in Celina is a 36 minute commute.

Leisure areas abound in and around our community. Ball diamonds, basketball courts, picnic areas, shelter house, gazebo, etc. – there is something for all to enjoy.

Waynesfield provides excellent facilities for your new or growing business; but, better yet, it provides an excellent place to call home. Bring your team and bring your families. Let us show you what Waynesfield has to offer.
