About Cleveland Public Power

Cleveland Public Power is the City of Cleveland’s municipal electric company and provides reliable and affordable energy and energy services to more than 75,000 businesses and residents within the City limits.

In business for more than 100 years, Cleveland Public Power (CPP) offers new and existing businesses a local electric utility built on providing excellent customer service, innovation and a commitment to the City, its businesses and residential communities.

CPP is positioning itself to be a leader in the electric utility industry through the expansion of its infrastructure and investments in renewable energy generation including hydro, wind and waste-to-energy projects.

Over the next several years CPP will complete the construction of new substations that will allow for additional commercial and industrial customers, and further ensure that they continuously offer clean and reliable power to all of ratepayers.

To complement the strengthening of its infrastructure, CPP is also working on enhancing the customer relations experience through the addition of systems that result in a streamlined connection process and better communication with customers.

As an asset of the City of Cleveland, the CPP team works in conjunction with other City departments to offer businesses and residents the cleanest and most reliable energy because it is the Electric Utility You Can Count On!
