Located just south of U.S. 222 in Berks County, Kutztown is a small borough with much to offer. Interstate 78, 10 minutes to the north, and Interstate 476, 20 minutes to the east, provide excellent transportation to larger metropolitan markets. Reading and Allentown are less than a 30 minute drive, while Philadelphia and Harrisburg are approximately 1 ½ hours away. Within 2 hours, one can reach New York City; and in 3 hours, the Baltimore, MD/Washington, D.C. area. For longer commutes, the Reading Regional Airport is available within 20 minutes.

While we may be a small town, we are big on services. We offer quality and economical services, i.e. electric, water, sewer, cable television, and fiber optics. With these services owned and operated by the municipality, you have local access to your needs and can have a direct input into their operations through the election of municipal officials and attendance at their open meetings.

The Kutztown Area School District provides education for our youth, while Kutztown University allows one to gain additional training and/or obtain a degree in a variety of areas.

Our Pennsylvania Dutch land offers a beautiful setting. We provide a variety of recreation including trails, festivals, and shopping. We are home to the Sacony Creek Trail and Marsh. A platform is available for one to enjoy the view of the natural habitat without damaging the surroundings. This wetland is home to birds including the blue herons, ducks, geese, turtles, frogs, fish, and other wildlife.
