Community Profile

The City that celebrates its riverfront heritage.

As the second largest City in Summit County, Cuyahoga Falls offers major benefits while providing hometown customer service. Uniquely positioned along the Cuyahoga River, one of only 14 National Heritage Rivers, Cuyahoga Falls has the amenities businesses are looking for – low utilities (38 percent lower than competitors), business and industrial parks with shovel-ready sites, tax incentive and low interest loan programs as well as a development team that works with companies beginning with site selection all the way through to the ground-breaking and beyond. A skilled workforce, access to major highways and international airports makes Cuyahoga Falls the low-cost / high return option for your next expansion project.

Through proven leadership with a pro business seven-term Mayor and a progressive City Council, Cuyahoga Falls has continued to grow and prosper by actively seeking new business and helping local companies grow. Recently approved, a 25-acre new retail center dubbed Portage Crossing is to be developed by Stark Enterprises – a premier northeast Ohio development team, and construction will begin soon on a new hospital as a result of the creation of a Joint Economic Development Zone with neighboring communities.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls has a long tradition of community pride with two excellent-rated public school districts. Cuyahoga Falls is also home to award-winning private and parochial schools and continues to build on these strong foundations at each school to promote advancements in student achievement.

Blossom Music Center, Porthouse Theater and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park are all located in our backyard! In addition, you can golf at the Arthur Hills-designed 18-hole Brookledge Golf Course, swim outdoors at our 151-acre WaterWorks Park or join us at the award-winning Natatorium & Wellness Center, featuring four indoor pools and state of the art cardio and fitness equipment.

Visit the heart of our city at Falls River Square, located in the downtown riverfront district, every weekend throughout the summer to experience fun, family entertainment, listen to live music and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the riverfront boardwalk. From Rockin’ on the River and Festa Italiana to weekly outdoor movie events, Falls River Square is the region’s #1 entertainment destination location. And don’t forget about winter! Each November, the site is transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with an outdoor ice rink.
