Situated along the scenic Portage River on U.S. Route 20 and State Route 105, Woodville is located five minutes south of the Ohio Turnpike and twenty minutes east of Interstate 75 in Sandusky County. Toledo is just 25 minutes north and Fremont 20 minutes east; however, surrounded by this highway infrastructure, metropolitan areas such as Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, and Columbus are all easily accessible. When the commute is further than you want to drive, the Toledo Express Airport can be accessed within 35 minutes, while Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport can be reached in 1 ½ hours.

The village has its own municipal water, wastewater, and electric distribution systems, as well as their own street department. Our new electrical substation is capable of handling many times the load that we currently serve. With these utility systems being municipally-owned, you are part-owner, elect your representatives to the board/council, and may express your direct input in open meetings. Rates are kept as low as possible, and service is just around the corner.

Local school children are served by Woodmore Local Schools. To obtain a college degree one needs to drive no more than 30 minutes to attend Bowling Green State University (BGSU), The University of Toledo, or Owens Community College.

We have three parks in Woodville for relaxation, two of which are bounded by the Portage River. These parks include a swimming pool, playground equipment, etc. Fourteen flagpoles are located in Busdiecker Park, one for each astronaut killed in the space program at the time the park was renamed in the mid-1990s.
