Consider Clyde!

The City of Clyde, Ohio offers easy access to a network of ground, air, water and rail transportation. The Sandusky County Regional Airport is located two miles west of Clyde and is large enough to accommodate commercial aircraft. Additional regularly scheduled commercial flights from Toledo Express Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are within minutes of Clyde. Clyde offers easy access to four lane roadways like the Ohio Turnpike, Interstate 80/90, and U.S. Route 20. State Route 101 and State Route 510 run through our city. If its rail you need, the Norfolk and Southern Railway serves Clyde. Major markets within a days drive include: Milwaukee, Charleston, Pittsburgh and Boston.
Lake Erie and the Port of Toledo are only 33 miles from Clyde. It offers a full service seaport and an inland distribution center all in one location. The port contains transloading facilities, warehousing, foreign trade zones, and enhances access to domestic and international markets.

Clyde takes a pro-active approach to building, owning and maintaining its energy, communications, water and wastewater infrastructure. Our municipally-owned electric system provides reliable service at traditionally lower costs than investor-owned utilities. The fiber optic system, Clyde Net, currently delivers High Speed Internet and Telephone Service over our power lines. In the near future, Clyde residents and businesses will enjoy IPTV; IPVideo and Video on Demand. In an effort to be environmentally friendly and offer additional savings to our customers, we are researching resources for Renewable Energy.

Clyde-Green Springs Schools provide education for our youth, as do a private school (grades 1-12), and a parochial school (grades k-8). For additional training, a career center and community college are both within 15 miles, or one may choose to attend Tiffin University, Bowling Green University, the University of Toledo, Cleveland State or Case Western to attain a degree – all located within minutes of Clyde.

Existing businesses that call Clyde home include: Whirlpool, Evergreen Plastics, Fisher & Paykel, Gerstenslager of Worthington Industries, K&W Distributing, Revere Plastics Systems, and Spader Freight Services.
