Community Profile

Greenwich is located on U.S. Route 224 (east-west) and six miles west of U.S. 250 (north-south). We are also 20 miles south of the Ohio Turnpike and 25 miles north/30 miles west of I-71. The Mansfield Airport (23 minutes south) offers direct flights on Allegheny Airlines to several major cities and connections with all transcontinental lines. Freight and charter service are also available. Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport is an approximate one hour drive. Within an approximate 45 minute drive, one can access Amtrack’s passenger service. Together, these venues offer excellent access to our village.

Centered in a major industrial area, Greenwich has much to offer. Large cities are easily accessible; yet we are able to experience a more peaceful and quiet way of life. Our municipality owns and operates its own water, sewer, and electric distribution systems. A community owned park, Greenwich Reservoir Lake Park, provides picnic tables, grills, play equipment, basketball hoops, baseball diamonds, and horseshoe pits. This 40 acre park and 10 acre lake are a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

South Central School District, an “excellent” school as rated by the State of Ohio, provides quality education for our school children. Opportunities to further one’s education and obtain degrees abound in the area. Ashland University, Tiffin University, Heidelberg College, The Ohio State University (Mansfield), and BGSU Firelands (Bowling Green State University) can all be driven within 25-50 minutes.

Businesses/industries such as Central Plastics Company (custom processor of thermal plastic), Johnson Brothers Greenwich (dense rubber, molded mechanical goods), Lake Park Industries (stamping industry that manufactures automotive parts), and Versitech Corporation (re-manufacturer of tire molds) already call Greenwich home. We hope you will join them. Contact us anytime and we’ll show you around.
