Easy Access to and From

With interstates and state highways nearby, Haskins has quick access to cities throughout the area and adjacent states; and, yet maintains the quiet, peacefulness, and relaxation of a small village. Just 5 miles from I-75 and less than 15 miles from I-90, Haskins is situated in the northwest section of Ohio, in Wood County, and is a part of the Toledo Metropolitan Area. It is located approximately 15 miles southwest of Toledo, just 8 miles northwest of Bowling Green, and within 15 miles of 41 other municipalities!

Though part of the Ostego School District which encompasses four villages, the education of our youth begins in our village at Haskins Elementary School. Upon graduation from Ostego High School, students may choose to continue their studies close to home as Bowling Green State University, Toledo University, and several other colleges/universities are located within 20 miles of home.

Haskins provides quality electric service, and operates our own Waste Water Treatment facility. We are a public power community and employ our own lineman to maintain our electric distribution system. Haskins is a Member of American Municipal Power, Inc., the nonprofit, wholesale power and services provider for more than 130 public power communities that serve about 661,000 customers across nine states. AMP manages and supplies competitively priced, reliable wholesale power to Member municipal electric systems such as Haskins. Two EPA certified Plant Operators operate the Waste Water Treatment facility with a capacity of 300,000 gpd.

Haskins is a community of people working together to meet the needs of our community.
