“Small Town, Big Heart”

Ohio City in Van Wert County, Ohio, may be small in size but you will be surprised with the size of our heart and what we have to offer. We are an unselfish, friendly community who believe in working together for the betterment of all. Our citizens truly care about one another.
Located alongside State Route 118, 3 minutes from U.S. Route 127 (north-south highways); and 7 minutes from U.S. Route 33, 11 minutes from U.S. Route 224, and 16 minutes from U.S. Route 30 (east-west highways), our village has access to larger municipalities.  Interstate 75 (north-south) is less than ¾ hour drive and the Ohio Turnpike (east-west) is an approximate 1 ¼ hour drive. These crossroads provide avenues to top-notch health facilities, colleges/universities, and a variety of entertainment. Ft. Wayne and its international airport are less than an hour’s drive when you wish to make a larger commute.
While we have access to cities and metropolitan areas, Ohio City itself has much to offer. Our community takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and allows you to enjoy the many sounds of nature. We provide and maintain our own municipal electric and water facilities, as well as several parks. Having these services handled locally among your peers is highly advantageous.
Our location has proven successful for such companies as TEEM Wholesale, Inc. who operates a 100,000 square foot facility for wholesale distribution and manufacturing of interior doors, moldings, and stair parts for new construction and remodeling. It has also proven profitable for EMP (El Monte Plastics) who specializes in custom molding, part design, and molding design for a variety of items such as kayaks, water holding tanks, agriculture parts, playground equipment, etc.
