Plymouth, Ohio, is located 30 minutes north of Mansfield and 45 minutes south of Lake Erie. A small village, easily accessible by land and air, our community is a great place to call home. Approximately 35 minutes from the Ohio Turnpike, Interstate 71, and U.S. Route 30, it is quite easy to commute to and from larger metropolitan areas. Cincinnati, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Lansing, Michigan, can all be driven to in 3-4 hours. Within a 90 minute drive, one can reach the Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport, Akron-Canton Regional Airport, and the Toledo Express Airport.
Plymouth-Shiloh Local School District provides quality education for our youth and is rated “excellent” by the State Board of Education. Graduates who wish to attend college locally have several options. In approximately ½ hour, students can drive to Ohio State University – Mansfield, Ashland University, or MedCentral College of Nursing in Mansfield. The University of Findlay can be reached in 1 ¼ hours, while Bowling Green State University and the University of Akron can be reached in approximately 1 ½ hours.
The Village of Plymouth is a public power community who owns and operates its own municipal electric distribution system. When you need to talk to someone about your electricity, you need to go no further than down the street. If there is an outage, local personnel are readily available to remedy the situation.
Park and pool facilities are available for relaxation and enjoyment. Mary Fate Park also offers the opportunity to rent pavilions for social gatherings. The Plymouth Pool is open daily during summer and available to rent for pool parties.
