We are proud to own and operate our local municipal electric system and take responsibility for keeping your power on. As a public power, municipal system, you are both our customer and part-owner. You elect people to represent you on the governing board/council and are welcome to attend their open meetings. Any problems that may arise with your utility service can be resolved locally. It is our goal to provide you with reliable and economically priced electric energy, as well as top-notch customer service. For assistance in this venture, we are members of American Municipal Power (AMP) – a nonprofit corporation serving municipal electric systems in six states. AMP owns and operates electric facilities and/or otherwise provides for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric power and energy to its members. They also provide related services as needed.
Our students attend Forest Hills School District which is located within six (6) miles of Summerhill.
